Naturally Rome is usually the first on many lists. The capital has plenty of things to see and promises to never, ever be boring. It is a fascinating mix of antiquity and modernity and it is not to be missed.

For art lovers, Florence is an absolute must. The Renaissance was born there, Michelangelo’s David has his home there, and foodies the world over simply cannot get by without at least one visit here.

Venice is known as the city of lovers for a reason. St. Mark’s Square is a huge draw but even the small alleys and gondola rides are a must do.

One of the greatest hotels I think in the world is going to be the Grand Hotel Parker’s.  This hotel was actually built in the late 19th century and while it has been recently restored, it is still one of the best hotels in the world.  If you want luxury, this very small, 83 room hotel is definitely the place to go.  There are so many views around Italy it is crazy, or if you are looking to relax, you can grab a cup of coffee and take it out to the gazebo for a stretch with a good book.

You can also take advantage of the fact that this hotel is very close to the Bay of Naples, which you can see right from your room if you are in one of the lucky ones that face that side.  You can also plunge yourself into the amazing Jacuzzi pool available for all of the guests.  The restaurant is beautiful an the food is great, the shopping is impeccable and I promise that you will not find a better luxury hotel.
