One of the first places that actually come to mind whenever I think about Valentine’s Day is Savannah.  This particular place is actually incredible right around V-Day and it is absolutely beautiful and filled with charm.

If you want history, charm and some awesome hotspots and destinations, you should definitely check out Savannah … I know that you are going to love it!

One thing that you need to make sure that you are doing whenever you are sick on vacation is let your flight attendant know – even if you are not coming down with the full-blown flu, letting them know will help make your journey easier.  Typically, when you let the flight attendants know that you are sick; they will take some pity on you.

That means that they will be able to cater to your needs a little more and on the off chance of you getting sicker, they will cater to you a little closer.

One of the first things that you need to do is make sure that you check all of your baggage, as that way you can make sure that you save your energy up.  Hauling around baggage, even something as small as a laptop bag can take its toll on your when you are getting sick.

So, it goes without saying that New Years hits on Las Vegas like a party bomb. Think about all the casinos, bars, clubs, and hotels in the city — all of them are busting the seams and partying hard.

In addition to the neon lights, there are crazy fireworks displays — which you can see quite well, because the Strip generally gets closed. This means you can also join in some of those insane block parties.

In fact, when you celebrate the holiday in Tokyo, you are in for an uber celebration, because the festivities begin on December 29 — and, if you want it to, they can go on until the fourth of January! That is right, January 4, not January 1. Talk about a party!

There are fireworks, there is dancing, there is singing in the streets — it is crazy. The clubs and the restaurants are all filled to the brim, it gets absolutely insane!

And on the first of January, you can take a visit to the Imperial Palace. What could be grander?

One of the first things that you need to do is make sure that you check your flight online before you leave for the airport.  That way you can make sure that your flight is going to be on time and you can even check into your flight, check your bags and make sure that you are all set as soon as you walk into the airport.

The next step is that if your flight is cancelled, you want to make sure that you contact the airline directly and figure out the best possible route.  I know that things can happen but the airline is responsible for you getting home and if your flight is cancelled, they have to put you on another flight.

That means that you can have a bag that weighs upwards of 70 pounds on the plane and while you might have to check it … you can still rest assured that your bag will be taken care of.  Another great thing about Virgin America is the fact that they are one of the only airlines that have free Wi-Fi in the plane!

To me … that is absolutely insane and I can tell you for sure that this particular airline is one of the best because of what they can offer.

This holiday season is filled with everything from gifts to Santa Claus – if you have been waiting to go on vacation during the holiday season, I can promise that you will want to go to Washington D.C.  Right around December 3rd is the annual National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony – and I can promise it is a sight to see.

Not only will you get to see President Obama, but you will also get to see the beautiful tree light up right in front of your eyes.  This year’s tree is actually the most energy-efficient tree in the 86-year old tradition of the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony … and it is all due to Obama.

Also, it is a beautiful sight to see, the tree is spectacular and I can promise that the music is awesome too – and the speech!

Right around the holidays, have you ever noticed that a lot of hotels actually test their chefs and make them come up with interesting and unique things for the holiday season.  The Westin St. Francis tops it though, this is actually 70 pounds of gingerbread, hundreds of pounds of sugar, sixty pounds of flour and finally so much candy it could rot your teeth straight away if you ate it all.

This is a twelve-foot holiday sugar castle and I have to say that it looks absolutely beautiful … and good enough to eat!  For the last four years, the Westin St. Francis and Houdre, the chef at the Westin St. Francis have built this castle to be on display and it is pretty awesome.

There are a ton of different windows to peek into and 30 different rooms.  The weight?  Right around twelve hundred pounds and it is so worth it!
