One place that seems to be extremely under appreciated by everyone but the people that live there is California; this sunny, sunny state is actually fabulous if you are looking to get away for a little bit on a weekend.  California is filled with all sorts of different things and different sites to see and I can tell you for sure that it is breathtakingly beautiful.

While the weather in California might be a little chilly, right now – in March, the weather is just fine for a sunset stroll on the beautiful beaches.  If you are looking for a town to stay in, Cambria is certainly one place that is known for their beautiful beaches and their unique accommodations. 

Mainly, back in 2009, Cambria actually just had a lot of B&Bs, nowadays though, there are many different hotels, specifically the Colibri Boutique Hotel, which is breathtakingly beautiful!

One of the first things that you need to do is make sure that you check all of your baggage, as that way you can make sure that you save your energy up.  Hauling around baggage, even something as small as a laptop bag can take its toll on your when you are getting sick.

Next, make sure that you get to the pharmacy – fast.  If you are stuck pre-flight, make sure that you load up on remedies before you board the flight.  More tips in the next blog!

But there is some hope, even though you may have to drive a bit to reach the closest airport that will not slow to a crawl during the long holiday weekend. Florida is a great place to find airports that aren’t crazily busy, in Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, and Fort Myers. Nashville, Richmond, Sacramento, Hartford CT, Orange County, and Cincinnati all have faster airports as well.

It can actually make a Thanksgiving trip well nigh impossible to plan, let alone execute. During the holiday weekend, travel promises to be so slow it will make snails and tortoises seem speedy.

So, we are going to try to help you out a little, thanks to help from lists compiled by Orbitz. What are we going to do? Let you know which airports promise to be the busiest and thus slowest, as well as which airports which will not be as crazy busy during the upcoming holiday.

Believe it or not, tropical locations are very nice this time of year as well. Fiji, Aruba, Curacao, central Mexico, western Mexico, and Barbados are all great destinations. Tahiti in the South Pacific is beautiful as well.

In Europe, the climates are still comfortable in Greece, Spain, Italy, and even in France and England.

Hawaii will be a sure bet, because the weather is pretty much perfect the entire year round.

Cruise ships really cannot steer you wrong, either. They tend to follow the warmth, and the trips do not restrict themselves to September and October.

Another reason that you might want to come to California is the wine.  While the wine is good other places, I have to say that the wine in California is certainly some of the best – seriously.  They actually make it right in California, so you truly can not get a better experience anywhere else.  You can actually sample the wine straight from 60 gallon barrels, where it is kept, so that is certainly saying something!

California is the best – it is a beautiful place that holds of a lot of cities that you should be proud to see.  Taking a trip to California, I know that you will have a fantastic time!

One of the coolest events in California is actually along Labor Day weekend; September 4th actually welcomes the Gold Rush Days in Sacramento.  More than 200 tens of dirt is set down on the streets of Old Sacramento as the town is dressed up in 1849 garb.  Horse drawn carriages, Wild West gun show and finally awesome music is all involved in this beautiful event!

Another thing that you can do in Los Angeles is see Disneyland and Universal Studios, which is a fantastic place for anyone and everyone of any age at all.  Another thing you can watch out for in Los Angeles is the hotels – there are so many different ones out there that you can honestly find the perfect one that will fit all of your needs in no time at all!

Los Angeles is the perfect destination for a family or if you are just looking for a place yourself … it is fantastic to make friends and really cut loose!

You can pretty much walk anywhere you might want to go as it is central to a lot of different outlet shopping as well as a very high-end spa that opened at the end of June.  Patriot fans that are looking for a place with a little class can enjoy the Renaissance Boston Hotel and Spa at Patriot Place and while the hotel might not have enough meeting space in it – they just opened, give them some time!

Deer Valley Resort is located just half an hour away from Salt Lake City, Utah, right up the gorgeous canyon. It is, as you might have gathered, a fabulous ski resort, with trails which have been groomed to impeccable level. Nor is it as crowded as some ski resorts, so your vacation will not be hampered by fighting through crowds of ski clad visitors. The food offered is scrumptious and you will be hard pressed to find better amenities. And if you do not know how to ski, fear not — there is a great ski school, as well!

There is, in fact, even a ski school especially for children, and it is considered one of the best — as is the staff of private instructors. Because it is family friendly, you will not have to worry about snowboarders infringing on the slopes, either!
