This holiday season is filled with everything from gifts to Santa Claus – if you have been waiting to go on vacation during the holiday season, I can promise that you will want to go to Washington D.C. Right around December 3rd is the annual National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony – and I can promise it is a sight to see.
Not only will you get to see President Obama, but you will also get to see the beautiful tree light up right in front of your eyes. This year’s tree is actually the most energy-efficient tree in the 86-year old tradition of the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony … and it is all due to Obama.
Also, it is a beautiful sight to see, the tree is spectacular and I can promise that the music is awesome too – and the speech!
Now that we have talked about one of the wonders of the world, let’s go ahead and touch on another thing that you just have to see if you are visiting Cairo. The Museum of Egyptian Antiques – this place is actually jam-packed with history and it is definitely one place that should not be missed if you are looking for a place to learn something.
Inside the Museum of Egyptian Antiques, you will find some beautiful and legendary treasures, such as Tutankhamen’s burial, tons of mummies, sarcophagi, coins, papyrus and tons of different artifacts that have been located and collected throughout the years.

Whenever you are trying to travel in style – it can be a difficult thing to actually go out and see the sights. However, if you are ever in Cairo, there are a few sights that I want you to see. For one — The Pyramids of Giza is an absolutely must, as they are the most famous and seriously the most beautiful place to visit in Cairo. For those of you that do not know – Cairo is actually the capital of Egypt and it is actually the largest city in Africa.
This beautiful city is actually famous because of all of the ancient history that you will find tucked away in this one city, but I can promise that you are going to love it. The pyramids of Egypt are some of the most impressive things in the world and they are actually located on the left bank of the River Nile.

Lots of people like to save their vacations for the fall, specifically for the months of September and October. That is completely understandable for a variety of reasons.
For instance, the heat of summer will have calmed down at least a little in plenty of places, making it altogether more comfortable, which further makes it much easier to enjoy yourself.

When you think about it — Los Angeles is actually a huge destination place that many people go to in the summer. While the weather does not usually change in this beautiful and sunny city, it has to be said that Los Angeles is better seen in the summer … if only because it gets cooler and they get more of a breeze. The coolest thing in Los Angeles has got to be Venice Beach walk – there you can see everyone from bikers all the way to skateboarders and rollerbladers.
Another thing that you can do in Los Angeles is see Disneyland and Universal Studios, which is a fantastic place for anyone and everyone of any age at all. Another thing you can watch out for in Los Angeles is the hotels – there are so many different ones out there that you can honestly find the perfect one that will fit all of your needs in no time at all!
Los Angeles is the perfect destination for a family or if you are just looking for a place yourself … it is fantastic to make friends and really cut loose!
If there is one place that people go when they truly want to get the hustle and bustle out of the way, it is going to be New York City. The summer is the one time that you can truly go to NYC without the bitter, bitter cold of the east side. There are so many activities that you can take advantage of when you are in New York and to be quite frank, Times Square is just one of them.
Central Park is one of the most beautiful places in the world to tour when you are in NY and if you are looking for other things to do – you can go on a sightseeing tour or even hit some of the awesome stores that have opened up in New York. The restaurants are a-plenty in New York City and you can truly get the luxury accommodations that you are looking for in this beautiful and busy city.

If there is one hotel that I would love to stay at this year, it has got to be the Hotel Indigo San Diego-Gaslamp Quarter. This particular hotel is one of the only hotels in the world it seems like that really, really strives to be completely and totally green. The Hotel Indigo San Diego-Gaslamp Quarter opened up this week and it is by far the most eco-friendly hotel ever. It is a 12-story hotel and it features all sorts of different recycled products – such as the green roof, which has recycled plastic for the floor.
The other notable features of this hotel is it is about a block from the very popular PETCO park, the outdoor decks all have fire pits and there is free wi-fi in all of the guest rooms. Aveda is the label for all of the bath products in the rooms and while you will pay a pretty penny to stay at this hotel, it is definitely worth it!
So remember, want luxury? The Hotel Indigo San Diego-Gaslamp Quarter is going to be the most luxurious hotel in the world for you!
Now of course, I am a Marriott girl myself but when I saw that the Hilton has a hotel that is super tall, totally luxurious and absolutely incredible looking in Niagara Falls on the Canada side – well, maybe I will stay at that particular Hilton. This property is actually the tallest hotel in Canada and it is about the height of five – yes, five football fields put together. This hotel in particular has about one thousand rooms in there and I have to say that it is beautiful.
Niagara Falls, while not a luxury vacation for some can be made into a luxury location. To be perfectly honest, I think that seeing Niagara Falls up close and personal is something that everyone should go through no matter where they stay – however, this Hilton is definitely on the top ten list of places to stay in Niagara Falls.
So take your family on a luxury vacation to the Hilton hotel in Niagara Falls and I promise that you will love it and you will be right up close to those falls!
If there is one hotel that Chicago has been waiting to open, it is going to be theWit, a Doubletree Hotel. While I have always been a Marriott Fan (I work for Marriott Hotels after all!), I think that I might actually have to check out theWit whenever I go to Chicago next. This hotel just opened a few weeks ago and to be honest, while the rate may seem high at $199.00 per night, it might actually be worth it. This hotel is 27-floors and has 283 rooms in it.
The lightening bolt that graces the front is actually extremely cool looking and travelers who stay here will actually be only about 2 blocks from Michigan Avenue! That means that the Art Institute of Chicago as well as the Ford Center and the Civic Opera House are all within walking distance. The hotel could not be closer and it honestly looks pretty cool.
In the rooms and the suites, the guests will see the 42-inch flat screens, a lot of velvet chaise loungers and some of the quirkiest and funkiest artwork in the world. So check it out, I think it fits right in with Chicago!
Now that we have talked about just a few of the hotels overseas, let’s travel back to the US and talk about a hotel that is absolutely breathtaking in Georgia! This incredible hotel, the Sea Island is definitely one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. Not only does it have a dazzling set of activities for everyone in your family but the rooms themselves are beautiful! All of the rooms have some sort of view of the Banks River and the Atlantic shore and they are all absolutely beautiful inside.
This hotel is not just a hotel either, it is more like a resort, there are cottages that you can rent and you can even play golf for they have their very own golf course. If you want to relax a little bit, you can in the 65,000 square foot spa or you can work up a sweat on the tennis courts. They also have a five mile stretch of private beach, so you can enjoy outside too!
And you are waiting for … what again? This resort is waiting for you, so book it!
